    Description

    Wonderful set of what I believe are 18th century sand cast, hand filed Chippendale escutcheons.
    Length is 3 1/8".  Height is 2 1/2".  Keyhole is 5/8" tall.  One of them had an inclusion it seems when it was cast that created a little pocket on the back.  It has formed a pin prick sized hole on the front as seen in photo #10.  They are quite thin compared to more modern pieces.  I am not a hardware expert, but from my research I believe these are as represented.  If you are an expert, and I am wrong, please inform!
