This illustrated book presents 24 full-page color plates featuring about 150 dolls including doll accessories.  All items come from the Merritt Doll Museum near Reading, Pennsylvania.  French bisque, kewpies, Schoenhut, Shirley Temple, cloth dolls, Bebes, fashion dolls, Chase stockinettes along with a pewter doll bathtub, German mechanical dolls, pull toys and much more.  Period costumes are delightful and authentic; some of these are still in their original boxes and wrappings.  This is truly a wonderful collection, especially attractive to doll collectors but also of great value to anyone who would like to browse through the museum’s remarkable collection, taking armchair tours at leisure and as often as is desired.
