Antique German Bisque Miniature Jointed Folk Doll Estate Collection 3.5" 9 cm

This charming doll comes from an estate collection that spans four generations.
This boy is all-bisque with one-piece head and torso,
jointed arms and legs,
painted colorful facial features, blond hair, and brown one-strap shoes.  He is marked GERMANY.  He has his original traditional folk costume and measure 3 /2"
(9 cm.) He wears felt vest, pants and hat in a Turkish style, with a white cloth shirt and silky sash. The clothing is hand-stitched and not removable.
The dolls have been carefully stored for many years. They may have minor damage consistent with age as shown in photos. Please review all photos as an important part of the description.
Here is some information on the provenance of the collection which may help with the age and source of the dolls. Great grandmother "Noni" was born in Scotland in the 1860's, attended the University of California at Berkeley in the 1880's, went to Europe to study for a time, and then married and returned to Princeton, New Jersey. Her sister and brother were both missionaries in China and India, and when Noni visited them she brought back souvenir dolls. Others in the family also traveled and brought back dolls, so there is a wide variety of unusual dolls in the collection. Noni died in 1953, so we expect all dolls date prior to the early 1950's, and some are much older. The dolls were finally inherited by the great granddaughter who was born in 1947, and are offered now for your consideration.
