Exquisite Antique 15" A/O Turtle Mark Celluloid Head Doll with Glass Eyes Hesse

Description

Listed here is an exquisite antique 15" A/O Turtle Mark celluloid head doll with blue glass eyes, brown human hair, open mouth with teeth, and a jointed cloth body with celluloid hands.  She is authentically dressed to represent a woman from Hesse, Germany.  She is wearing a brown cotton pleated skirt with beige embroidered ribbon trim, lace, and glass beads above the hem and a band of flower print cotton on the underneath.  Her square-neck brown velvet jacket has pleated salmon taffeta and glass beads around the neck and at the wrists.  The salmon taffeta apron is elaborately decorated with silver and glass beads above the hem and around the waist, embroidered flowers at the hem and embroidered stars above the flowers.  Her blouse is blue, white, brown, and beige cotton.  She wearing a red flannel petticoat trimmed with white ribbon above the hem and a band of printed cloth underneath.  Underneath that is a ecru polished cotton slip with "3614" stamped on the front.  A salmon pink scarf around her neck, an elegant jeweled red silk hat with long, black ribbons, brown cotton knit socks, and adorable brown leather shoes complete her outfit.
There is a small scratch on her right cheek, a tiny dot under her nose, three small holes on the back of her skirt, and her wig is a little sparse in places.  Her overall appearance is excellent, but I did want to mention the small defects.  She has no underpants.
